Compact Treadmill - Review of the Top Compact Treadmills
Compact Treadmill Review
Many people these days are looking for a compact treadmill. Compact, small treadmills are perfect for condos, apartments or other workout areas where space is at a premium.
These treadmills take up less space than traditional treadmills. Plus they are easy to fold up and store away in small spaces like a closet or under a bed. Another bonus is that they may cost less than many traditional treadmills.
While there used to be more compact, portable treadmills on the market, unfortunately now there's only a couple. We've reviewed them below.
The warranty covers the frame for 20 years, 5 years on the motor and 1 year on parts and labor.
It also has a music port and speakers for your iPod or Mp3 player which is a nice touch at this price point.
Obviously with a compact model, you're going to have a few drawbacks. This is an extremely small treadmill and not the best for runners or heavier usage because of the short belt (45 inches long) and lightweight frame.
It's also not great in terms of cushioning and shock absorption - so don't plan on running on this treadmill.
Overall however, if you're looking for a compact home treadmill with a decent console, several workout options designed by a solid name in the fitness business - the Horizon Evolve is our top choice.
Although not as well known as the Horizon Evolve, the TR200 offers a few things the Evolve doesn't.
You get up to 10% incline, a higher speed limit (up to 8 MPH) and a slightly longer belt (48").
Plus it comes fully assembled in the box - so if you don't relish the thought of piecing your treadmill together, the TR200 is a great choice.
Like the Evolve it also comes with a music port for your iPod or Mp3 Player
Again, it does suffer a bit from the compact design but if you're looking for a solid compact treadmill - with a bit more goodies than the Evolve, this may be your compact treadmill.
