The new 2010 Nordic Track A2550 PRO treadmill replaces the highly popular 2009 Nordictrack A2550 treadmill with a slightly more stable base and more advanced console.
It comes in at a great price plus you get some excellent basics: a strong 2.5 HP motor with lifetime warranty, roomy 55" long belt, heart rate monitor and 10% inclne.
There's also an iPod port with console speaker system so you can listen to your favorite tunes while working out.

Strengths:
1) iFit Live - This is is not the standard iFit card reader on many of the older models. IFit Live is the newest technology that Nordic Track is putting on a few of their 2010 models.
If you have wireless Internet in your home you can connect your treadmill to the Internet. It's powered by Googlemaps and Google terrain so that you can run or walk different trails all over the world.
You can customize and download your own workout programs and workout with Jillian Michaels from 'The Biggest Loser' - where she coaches you through your workout.
You can also race against your Facebook friends, track your activity and nutrition online and even download workout videos.
2) iPod/Mp3 Port With Speakers Built Into the Console - You can plug your iPod or MP3 player into the built-in audio jack and listen to your favorite music or audiobooks while you workout. This can make your workout a lot more enjoyable.
3) 16 Workout Programs - In addition to the iFit Live capability, you also have 16 built in workouts that adjust the speed and incline of your treadmill to meet your goals.
There are 4 distance workouts (1 mile, 5 k, 10 k and half marathon), 4 performance workouts, 4 weight loss workout and 4 timed workouts.
4) One Touch Incline and Speed Buttons - Instead of scrolling through your options, you just press the button of the speed or incline you want and the treadmill adjust. It's a little thing, but it can save you a lot of frustration, especially when you're running.
5) Heart Rate Monitor - Stay in your target heart rate range by gripping the hand grip heart rate sensors on the front bar of your treadmill. Again, fairly standard but still nice to have.
6) 20 x 55" Belt - Although taller users may want to upgrade to a longer 60" belt, this is a still fairly spacious belt and will be fine for most people
Weaknesses:
We would have like to see a longer parts warranty on the A2550 - parts and labor are only covered for 1 year. However the warranty is still above average and you can get extended warranty coverage upon checkout.
Overall Conclusion:
The Nordic Track A2550 Pro treadmill is one of the new Nordic Track 2010 models recently released. It offers some great basics (2.5 HP motor, 55" long deck, decent cushioning, strong deck with 350 lb user weight capacity and heart rate monitor).
Then there's the fun stuff: iPod jack with built in speakers, high resolution display and iFit Live capability. If you want to run or walk over different terrains, download more workouts including videos, workout with Jillian Michaels or just track your activity online, you'll love this treadmill.
Being new, it hasn't had much time to prove itself yet. However given how popular the old 2550 treadmill was, along with the new addition of iFit Live, we think this will be a very popular treadmill this holiday season.
